Stage Movement and Clowning (Grades 6-7)

Stage Movement

This class will be an opportunity for young actors to get in touch with how movement affects performing. They will develop awareness, coordination, cooperation and team building in this class. We’ll be using our imaginations to be making new worlds and new characters in class while building techniques they can use in future performances.

Clowning

A fun physical movement class focusing on comedic timing, props and creating gags. We’ll be exploring different styles of clowning, mime and improv with a chance for students to come up with their own clown persona. The students will learn and practice some basics of stage combat and tumbling. This will be a chance for students to explore different styles in the performance arts.
